K Country Fishing Adventures

Nestled in the Canadian Rocky Mountains lays one of the most spectacular and picturesque places in the world.  Only 45 minutes from Calgary Alberta Canada, Kananaskis Country is a unique and beautiful area that spans over 4000 sq. kilometers.  Kananaskis Country offers the best and most scenic trout fishing that a fly fisherman could ask for.  Feisty Cutthroats, huge Rainbows, Alberta’s provincial fish the Bull Trout and beautiful Brook Trout are just some of the species of fish that are found in the many alpine lakes and streams within Kananaskis.

You’ll also find the abundant mountain Whitefish and majestic Arctic Grayling, which are perfect on a dry fly. Let your jaw drop at the incredible mountain scenery as you reel in a feisty catch and enjoy one of Canada’s best kept secrets. People that have fished in Kananaskis before will tell you that by the end of the day you’ll be left with nothing but great memories and a few good stories to tell. K Country Fishing Adventures specializes in guiding you to the many hidden gems within Kananaskis Country for a unique and memorable fishing experience.

We guide fishermen through some of many K country trails to secluded alpine lakes which are only accessible by foot.  Many lakes are fishable from shore but a belly boat, which we will provide, is often needed in order to get the full experience.

For people who would prefer a day without the hike, K Country Fishing offers many easier walk and wades on some of Southern Alberta’s many rivers and streams.  Southern Alberta’s rivers and streams offer many different species of fish including Brook Trout, Rainbows, Whitefish, Brown Trout, and the occasional Pike.  Rivers and streams offer some of the most exciting fishing there is as every bend of the river has a new challenge for you.

There is plenty of great fishing near Calgary. If you're just visiting the city, we will provide you with a truly memorable experience. If you're new to the city and don't know where to fish, K Country Fishing Adventures will take you to some great locations that are sure to become your favorites.
